The Trad Tattoo and Tread Tattoo Antique Trade project was born from the minds of Lorenzo, Federico, and Gabriele, three friends and passionate enthusiasts of the history, culture and anthropology of tattooing and body modification.
The passion has been joined over time by academic studies aimed at broadening the cultural knowledge that affects the boundless world of tattooing, and by a strong inclination to collect.
The latter has led us to collect, trade and sell antique, vintage or rare-to-find Tattoo Memorabilia related to the most diverse societies contemplating the practice of tattooing and permanent body modification. Our focus is primarily on the three macro categories of traditional Western, traditional Japanese, and ethnic/tribal tattooing.
What you will find in our physical exhibits or online channels is the result of academic study, research and travel undertaken to honor the memory of this “indelible mark of humanity”.
